A man has claimed his mobile phone saved his life during the devastating terror attack outside France's national stadium last night.

The man, known only as Sylvestre, said his head would have "exploded" had his while mobile not tookthe impact of a bullet.

He was pictured moments after the attacks in Paris still holding onto his Samsung phone which had a smashed screen and huge dent in one side.Speaking to iTele,

he said:"This is the cell phone that took the hit, its what saved me.

Controversial former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, has claimed that she did not use her position in Goodluck Jonathan’s government to steal Nigeria’s money.

Diezani, who looked frail told Dele Momodu that she performed her duties to the best of her knowledge and abilities, and that many of the allegations against her are not based on facts.

But she was arrested by officials of the National Crime Agency in UK over “money laundering”.

The former minister had been alleged to have used her position as minister to steal billions of naira from the country’s coffers.

In June 2008, she was subject to a Senate probe after it emerged that as Transport Minister she had paid N30.9bn ($263m) to contractors between December 26 and 31, 2007.

However, she has never been tried for these allegations and has strongly denied any wrongdoing. She was alleged to have spent billions of dollars on private jets and responsible for some missing $20bn.

She is also widely accused of reckless spending of government funds.

In October 2009, the Senate indicted her and recommended prosecution for the alleged transfer of N1.2bn into the private account of a toll company without due process and in breach of concession agreement.

She is said to be worth billions of dollars.

Baby Born With 2 Heads In Bangladesh (photo)

An extraordinary two-headed baby girl has been delivered in a "miracle" birth in Bangladesh, medical officials said.

The baby, who was born late yesterday , is now being treated for breathing difficulties after she was shifted to the intensive care unit of the country's largest hospital in Dhaka.

Her father Jamal Mia, a farm labourer, described being "awestruck" when he first saw his new baby.

He told AFP :"She has two fully developed heads. She is eating with two mouths and breathing with two noses," he said."Still, I thank Allah that she and the mother are now okay."

Jamal added that he was concerned about how he would manage to care for the baby if extra expenses were needed."I feel sad for her. She has been born to a poor man. I don't have money to even properly treat her mother," he said.

Abu Kawsar, owner of the Standard Hospital of Total Healthcare where the baby was born, said initial tests showed she only has one set of vital organs."The entire town poured into the clinic.

There were thousands of people with some of them coming fromthe nearby villages," he said."It's good that the baby has been shifted to Dhaka. Otherwise, it would have been difficult for us to control the crowd."

World's First Successful Head Transplant:Mans Head Cut Off And Placed On Another Body

A Success after Nineteen Hour Operation.

A 36-year-old man has undergone the world’sfirst successful head transplant.

The ground-breaking operation took a team of surgeons 19 hours to complete and has allowed the patient to be cancer-free.

Paul Horner, who was diagnosed with bone cancer five years ago, was on the verge of death when he was approved for the controversial and possibly deadly operation.

Doctor Tom Downey, who was part of the South African team who carried out the operation, told CNN he is thrilled about the results. “It’s a massive breakthrough.

We’ve proved that it can be done – we can give someone a brand new body that is just as good, or better, than their previous one.

The success of this operation leads to infinite possibilities.”Surgeons at Charlotte Maxexe Johannesburg Academic Hospital in SA did the operation in February but had to wait until they could confirm it was successful before they made any public statement.

Downey spoke to reporters on the complexity behind the first ever head transplant. “This procedure is another excellent example of howmedical research, technical know-how and patient-centered care can be combined in the quest to relieve human suffering.

”The operation was led by Professor Myron Danus and took place on February 10, 2015.“Our goal is for Horner to be fully functional in two years and so far we are very pleased by his rapid recovery,” said prof. Danus. “Before the operation, Horner’s body was riddled with cancer and he had less than a month to live.

We were fortunate enough to find a donor body; a 21-year-old man who has been brain dead from a serious car accident that happened in 2012. The boys body worked just fine, but his brain was not functioning whatsoever, and there was absolutely no chance of recovery.

He added: “We received approval from the young man’s parents to use their sons body todo the operation. They were extremely happy their son could save a life even in the vegetated state that he was in.”

The man, Horner, has made 85% recovery; walking, talking, doing things a healthy individual does…
